Jesus Christ is the human encounter with the Godhead. He is fully God and fully human, not blended in nature and yet fully united in expression without diminishing the defining characteristics of either. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived as an example of our humanity and our creation as children of God in the image of God. He was crucified and died as atonement for all sin in the ultimate expression of God’s unconditional love and desire to reconcile all creation back to himself. He rose again on the third day in an undeniable display of His power over death and darkness and His ability to sanctify save and secure God’s children.
